Vita Jürgen Haupt
Vita - Jürgen Haupt
I was born and raised in Berlin. Later I moved abroad where I spent extended periods in Switzerland, Luxembourg and Majorca. Afterwards I returned to Düsseldorf. During numerous trips around the world I gained a lot of experiences and impressions which had a decisive influence on my interest in painting. Since my adolescence I showed a profound feeling for the art of painting and drawing. However, during those years I put priority on my professional education and career. Once more, at the age of 30, my interest for art revived but it did not last very long.
Once I had retired from work I started to become interested in painting again. But this time I really wanted to put a lot of emphasis on the technique of painting. During the years 2006 and 2007 I participated in the painting classes of the Argentine professor Nuri Decastelli in Palma. Furthermore I studied at the Academy of Arts in Bad Reichenhall. In 2006 with Sigi Braun , in 2007 with Peter Tomschieczek and once more with Sigi Braun and with Peter Meiringer, 2008 with Prof. Dr. Markus Lüpertz, Alfred Darda ,2009 Thomas Lange and once more Prof.Dr. Markus Lüpertz, 2010 Helmut Middendorf and 2011 Thomas Lange and Hermann Nitsch.
I prefer to stay away from a self-evaluation of my work, this is for others to decide. But one thing I would like to point out that every theme and their execution are unique. There is an idea behind every piece of art. And ideas I have in abundance.
The art of painting just had to captivate me. This was a natural development due to the fact that otherwise I would not have known how to express my fancy imagination. But not only that! It is the light of Majorca that inspires my work a lot. Today the centre of my life is on this beautiful island.
